A Magpie Moth Tells Us Off

I have a tiny black body

and big black wings

with white dots in a pattern.

Delicate antennae on my head sense danger.

I am active in the day but not much in the night.

You humans, mistake me as a butterfly,

but I’m a moth, got it?

I am only found on the Chatham Islands,

so please don’t take me away.
