YOUNG
WRITERS
YAP
Welcome to a brand-new podcast created, recorded and edited by graduates and students of Write On School for Young Writers in Ōtauathi Christchurch, with guidance from the fabulous team at Plains Media.
This show is for anyone curious about the world of writing in Aotearoa. Whether you’re a curious student, a schoolteacher, a writer yourself, or something completely unrelated, this is the place for you! You’ll walk away with poetry, tricks of the trade, and inspiration— on top of having experienced the real-life chaos of Young Writers Yap.
Each episode, we’ll bring you an interview with a young NZ writer, sharing their work and process, and having a laugh. If you’re at all interested in what (or why) exactly young people are writing in this country, listen in!
New shows are broadcast on Plains Media 96.9 FM, Wednesday at 11.30 am (Fortnightly)
