Dear praying mantis

with lightning-fast legs,

you’d slash a bug, like we cut bread.

I don't know how you do it.

Those super-thin legs are so powerful

as you unleash your strength.

It fascinates me.

Why are you coloured in green?

You could have been any colour

with those spiky, long legs.
