My sister has a secret

My sister is a siren.

She loves diving to the bottom of the sea.

She wears a seaweed crown decorated with shells.

and sings humming songs while sitting in her room.

My sister has black hair with navy blue waves.

Her green eyes glow like buried treasure

and her long nails are polished with sea foam.

She never eats Mum’s home-cooked meals.

She demands to eat fish, raw and stinky!

My sister came out of her room in the mermaid tail

she wears every day as she walks to the beach.

How weird!

I followed behind her without her knowing.

We made it to the beach, and I saw it all.

I saw her transform in the water.

She’s a siren!

I didn’t actually think she was one.
