Ngaro Huruhuru Tries to Tell Us Something Important

My wings are really delicate.

My legs have little hooks on the end to grip on flowers.

I have six legs.

It helps with weight

so I can fly straight.

Native bees like me are at risk because of the way you humans have changed the land,

clearing forests,

building cities

and using pesticides that kill insects.

That’s why native bees are at risk.

That’s why you humans have to look after us bees.

Do you like honey?

Then look after us bees, no more pesticides.

There are better ways to do things.

Come on, let’s look after us bees.
