Te Whanga Lagoon

It was a majestic place in 1938

until the swans came.

They poisoned our water with their swan poo.

There are swans, geese and eels killing the lake.

The people are killing it, too.

Dead swans, dead geese,

dead cows, dead eels,

dead pigs, dead sheep in the lagoon.
