The boy who was never found

The Past
Once upon a time, there was a boy. When this boy turned eight, he went exploring in the woods and stumbled upon a magical scene. There was bright blue water, vibrant green grass and huge rocks stacked up together. That was his happy place.
The next day he packed his bag filled with sandwiches, togs, chips and brownies. He also packed a tent. He asked his mum if he could stay at his friend's house, although he was lying. He sneaked past the door and went back to his happy place. He changed into his togs and was swimming for ages.
The Present
The waterfall rapidly rushes down through the rocks, and the wind howls as it flows through the water. Branches crack and creak when rubbing together, and the rocks feel rough like sandpaper. Tiny, tiny speckles of gold shine between the rocks.
The future
Something terrible will happen. The boy will fall into a hole beneath the water and drown. He will never be found in his “so-called” happy place.
