The Table
By
April

She walked through an open door, and the room
was filled with emptiness.
The only thing you could see inside
was a large wooden table.
The girl smiled, her heart was filled with happiness.
She put her phone on the table and made sure
to put a basket filled with food there too.
She picked up her wallet and placed it beside her phone.
She then put four pencils down, then a single pen.
She grabbed a large handful of the sound of rain
and placed it on the table.
The feeling of cotton and silk, she put that down too.
She placed down the taste of hot chocolate
and the happiness she felt when being near people she loved.
The sound of laughter was soon put down,
sprinkling it on the table, making sure not to add too much or too little.
And the last thing the girl placed was the sound of crunchy leaves.
Once the girl was done, she looked at the pile in pride
taking a moment to reward herself. She then left the room, thinking about her table.
