It is a place of nature,

a beautiful bay,

home to stingray and many kinds of fish.

Just being able to wear tank tops, shorts

and togs underneath all day.

with the sun kissing my skin,

leaving funny tan marks

Lying on the warm wooden wharf

in dripping wet togs.

trying to dry off 

after jumping in the clear blue water.

Going out on the boat

catching dinner,

beating the shags to the fish.

Being on the kayak

and spotting the occasional stingray,

big adult ones,

to tiny baby ones

not causing a ripple on the surface.

Only three other small families,

a quiet little place

with the slightest refreshing breeze

that would cool you down

on the hot summer’s day.

The sound of the leaves rustling puts you to sleep.

The forest next door

makes the best hang out spot

to make huts and hide and seek

The birds singing early in the morning

makes a great alarm clock

with the stingray
