The Leaf

lives on a Stick,

definitely on the calmer side,

always quiet.

He is a certified glider.

All he knows is jump, glide and then,

he lands first try

every time.

Stick is Leaf’s best friend.

Leaf belongs to Stick,

is there to shelter Stick.

But that won't last much longer. 

It’s time to glide.

He needs to untie the ropes and break the chains.

He has to finish what he has begun in the pursuit of greatness.

But while he sits with Stick, thinking of his cause

he comes to the realisation that

all he is and will ever be

is nothing more than a Leaf.
