Due to the modern issue of light pollution,

so I have to squint really hard

If one manages to spot the shape, neurons in their brain may fire

dazzling with recognition as they land upon it

And it’s just, wow, finding it all the way up there

at first

But as I reach for its cosmic significance

as a baby reaches for a pacifier,

deterministic,

I fail to see the indents of my teeth

within the quivering structure

so I squint really really hard

still looking well after

it sinks back into the flat sky.
