You tell me how lucky I am to be here right now,

to let go of the people I used to know;

in order to take a step forward in life.

I feel like an unseen thread of nostalgia binds me,

tying me to those who gave me comfort.

So try to remind yourself to be grateful because you do have a better life than some people — not in a way that you should be happy they are experiencing hardship, but in a way to find gratitude for your own life.
